If you are thinking about joining a gang, you might as well join one that could eventually master funk-pop.
Filed somewhere in my music collection between Wolfmother and Wolf Parade, Wolf Gang has now found a home in my headphones. Max McElligott, who occasionally roles with a small musical entourage, is the mastermind behind the sounds and London is the city that claims him. With music in his blood, Max has taken his talents and numerous influences and pumped out some excellent debut tracks. With echoes of David Byrne and David Bowie in his voice, this kid definitely has a bright future, not to mention Hot Chip is already remixing his latest single (see below)…

‘The King And All Of His Men’ single dropped on Monday. Not too long before, Max signed with Atlantic Records and is working on his debut album which will be co-produced by Blue May who did some work on Lykke Li’s latest album. Wolf Gang is currently on tour in the UK, but should be expected to make a visit to the US next year. Enjoy Wolf Gang’s latest single, ‘The King And All Of His Men’ along with Joe Goddard’s remix below and be sure to pick up a copy of Wolf Gang’s album wherever good music is sold and whenever it actually comes out. You heard it here, another Audio Muffin band to watch in 2010.
