Upon hearing track one of this record I ended my audiomuffin writer’s block. I have been a Joy Division fan for some time now thanks to a guy named Joe Tetrick. I am pretty sure he is somewhere in Korea and not reading this right now. To the point, White Lies hails from West London and delves into that same underground 80’s sound. This post will be somewhat late on these guys because they are already established in the UK. Their album To Lose My Life was released in January but just recently dished out here in the U.S. Nonetheless, if you haven’t heard of them check them out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I haven’t found too many flaws in their album so far and it just may be a straight through listen (which couldn’t happen at a better time, I have been in a music funk people). Hope you enjoy…

White Lies is getting pretty big in the US, well I suppose getting a lot of play, they were on last night’s episode of The Hills, and they are also on Josh Schwartz’s new web- series Rockville CA (www.rockvilleca.com), so the US will be a seeing a lot more black uniforms and custom Nikes soon enough.
