This album came out about a year ago, so its not new, but I doubt you’ve heard of the Violet Archers. In fact when I tried to buy this album several months ago I was forced to purchase mp3s from an independent record store’s website.

This was a band I discovered through the power of Pandora. And although most of the album has plenty of volume to it, I decided to choose a couple of their mellow tracks to spotlight. The songs are mostly sung by the male lead singer, but the eerie power of the track Fools Gold Rope, sung by the backup female singer, is undeniable.
