If you haven’t heard of these guys you’ll be both pissed off and thankful that you are reading this now and probably just in time. Two Door Cinema Club has been around since 2007 and have been the recipients of considerable hype in the indie scene. Maybe not to the extent of the Vampire Weekends and Phoenix’s of the world, but definitely un-ignorable ewwws and ahhhs from aficionados. I felt this was a proper time to lay down some ground work considering their new album is set to drop like a hot little biscuit in March.

As a true son of St. Patrick myself, I have a certain sense of endearment towards my Irish-born electro-pop brethren. The trio; Alex Trimble, Kevin Baird and Sam Halliday, following considerable attention on Myspace, decided to go balls to the wall and join the party. Their host, Kitsuné Music. Might have heard of them, got a few good bands…Hot Chip, Bloc Party, Yelle, Wolfmother..ring a bell? Yeah, they’re grade A Muffin legitimate as far as labels go.

Bottom line, we here at Audio Muffin are expecting big things from this upcoming album. They have the talent, the backing of a bodacious label and are working with some top notch producers who have done magic for the likes of Bloc Party and Daft Punk. Keep checking in for updates, also they should be announcing a world tour following the album’s release.
