1. Cloud Cult - Feel Good Ghosts
Cloud Cult - No One Said It Would Be Easy
Highlight of ‘08 - getting inebriated with my bro & Sydney C at a Cloud Cult show and entering a furious bidding war for a painting. We won.
2. Grand Archives - Grand Archives
Perfectly laid back grooves that entertained me to no end all year
3. Atmosphere - When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold
Atmos brought the heat here, plus this deserves a place on the list for the album title alone.
4. Air France - No Way Down
Air France - Collapsing At Your Doorstep
Splendid summer album - best enjoyed watching the sunrise on a beach somewhere
5. Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
Vampire Weekend - Everywhere (Fleetwood Mac cover)
These guys had a lot of hype to live up to this year and I think they delivered, boat shoes and all. We’ve all heard all the songs from this album, so I thought I’d give this kickass cover some love.
