*PS (Pre-script!) I originally wrote this back in December, but never published it cause I didn’t have the songs. However, I am posting it now for Bootsy. Okay Bootsy, have at it!
Hailing from trusty old Manchester, the two members of Ting Tings originally formed the band Dear Eskimo back in 2006 with a 3rd member. After having lost the 3rd, Jules De Martino and Katie White became simply, The Ting Tings.
For some reason I am drawn to the single That’s Not My Name; it’s a bit grating and repetitive, but it’s poppy and it’s catchy as hell, and I’ve finally figured out why it stands out to me so much. Approximately midway through the song, what started out as the chorus sinks down into the mix, and the infective backing vocals slowly rise up to prominence. With such a simple maneuver, it transforms the song into something slightly different and much more memorable. I like it.
And now that I have the whole record, I will post my other favorites here as well. It’s a perfect summer record.

Haha! nice job being months ahead of mass popularity!!
I like to check out the bands that are plastered on every site that i visit!
I was gonna write em up and talk about how it makes me wanna choreograph a dance routine with the little neighbor girls in the backyard (like I did in 1990).
Maybe you, nugget and i could work something out like that next time I visit?
