I haven’t been very motivated lately to write. However, 2 things changed that today. 1) A phone conversation with Train where we bitched about real work and 2) My cousin is in a kick ass band named The Palace Flophouse. I am proud to say I’m a pretty big fan of The Mamas and Papas (besides the whole ‘let’s inject our teenager with herion’ thing) and when I found out they were one of the band’s major influences I was much pleased. On their myspage page you can get more information on the band, locals of their latest tour, and even download their first album entirely free. (Did you notice the prestine placement of that oxford comma? Sweetness)
As of right now they are an up-and-coming band traveling around the Lincoln’s country in the midwest.  You have to appreciate the organic process. Plus, they are just plain good. Side note: I have actually been in the same courthouse where Lincoln won his famous almanac trial in. That’s a free story. Tell your friends. Here are some tracks from the band, hope you enjoy.
