Mile High rock meets beach melody. Musical and geographical bliss my friends. Two of Audio Muffin’s Bands to Watch in 2009 are joining forces in musical conglomeration at some of our favorite venues throughout California this weekend. The Knew, Denver-based rock extraordinaires, will be loading up the wagons and hitting the pavement this week as they prepare for a solid western states tour. San Diego based acoustical geniuses, Writer, will dually be blowing the minds of those of you who take my recommendations to heart. This band offers an intimate musical sensation and does not shy from spitting venomous lyrics complimented by some deep dish audio muffins…a little inside, I know. Also on a westernly tour, Writer will be with The Knew at several venues and covering additional ground with other acts as well. For more information on their tour, you can visit their Myspace.
If you remember back when we interviewed lead guitarist, Tyler Breuer and the rest of The Knew while having a nice soak, we were full-court pressing them for a California tour. Well they listened.

The Knew : Playing for strangers is the best. We love playing in Denver, but also would love it to play in any town that will have us. When you’re a pretty unknown band, trying to win over a crowd in a new town is the best part of hitting the road.
Pretty safe to say that The Knew and Writer will have no problems winning over anxious crowds on their current tours, so lace up your chucks and go nuts.
