B: The business man in HOV has operatively concluded his contractual relations with Def Jam and is all geared up to release a power-house album via his new company and partnership with Live Nation – Roc Nation. The new album, set to release on 9/11, is entitled The Blueprint 3 and will be distributed by Atlantic. The album has been on the receiving end of glorious hype and speculation, not unlike every other Jay-Z album released, ever. Unfortunately, like a broken faucet, this album has leaked all over the place. Typically, we here at The Muffin wait to release tracks until the album is released, but in this case, if you can’t listen to these tracks at your favorite mp3 Bakery, you will undoubtedly find another source.

In our foretaste for this upcoming album, we were on edge with anticipation to hear the rumored collaborations with Kanye’s new classically outfitted, secret ingredient Mr. Hudson, Luke Steele from Aussie Muffin favs Empire of the Sun and Kid Cudi. In lieu of all the great combos on this album, I felt it suiting to bring in my own collusion for this post…
Train: …that’s right Muffiners. In the spirit of dream collabos, I’m here to do a guest verse on B’s post, what what! I know what you’re thinking – two Muffin powerhouses together for the first time, it’s very reminiscent of the ’06 meeting between Nasir Jones and Mr Sean Carter himself…well, something like that, only more epic…

Now I know everyone was freaking out over the possibility of MGMT making an appearance on The Blueprint 3, but in my heart of hearts I was always hoping for a Jay-Grizzly Bear combo (Jigga Bear? Grizzly HOV?). I know Jigga has the clout and musical foresight to pull something like this off, but alas, it was not to be. Instead we’ll have to settle for watching Jay watching the Grizz this past weekend at the Pool Party in Brooklyn. Check out S dot Carter getting his sway on to ‘Ready, Able’ below…
“[Grizzly Bear] are an incredible band. The thing I want to say to everyone — I hope this happens because it will push rap, it will push hip-hop to go even further — what the indie-rock movement is doing right now is very inspiring.” Jay via MTV
As B kindly informed you, The Blueprint 3 is slated to hit shelves on 9/11, but has already hit streets both digital and physical – I’m looking at you sketchy guy on Canal St. – a lot earlier. Sheeeeit, even Jigga himself has told the fans/would-be-bootleggers to enjoy the leak at this point. But leak or no leak, you have all undoubtedly heard the second single, ‘Run This Town’ co-starring his partner in rhyme, Mr. Kanye ‘Is That a May-WHAT!’ West, and Barbados’ finest, Ms. Rihanna. The jam is at the forefront of a kickass new Rhapsody commercial which finds Jay visiting the ghosts of albums past…

Back on the mic is my homeboy B…
B: Well I don’t got the bright watch, I got the right watch and I don’t buy out the bar, I own the night spot. So next time you see a collabo post by the B Train, you better grab your passport, cause this shits goin’ international. Enjoy the tunes and support Jigga Man.

The Blueprint 3 will be out 9/11 wherever good music is sold. For now you can stream the album in its entirety over at MTV.

Both of those videos are absolutely amazing!
I wanted to hate the album, but it is growing on me, how can you go wrong when you’re the Jigga Man and everyone wants to give you their best beats?
And the B Train…holy shhhhhh.
