If you have never heard of Le Blogotheque then I am extremely honored to be the one to share it with you. It is basically a music website in France that has the unique ability to get really cool bands to come to France, walk around the streets casually singing their songs with whatever instruments they can throw together, and get filmed in beautiful, grainy, film.
A good amount of the shoots are of French bands that those outside of France probably haven’t heard of. But below you’ll find some of the best videos featuring your favorite indie bands. And also, I encourage you to further explore there site because each performance if usually in four seperate videos.
Let’s start this with Patrick Watson. We’ve only written about him once, but it happened to be the first Audio Muffin post ever! I dare you to play this video every night before you go to bed for a week. His voice just make leak into your dreams.
Here is one that will surely put you in a good mood. Justin and friends from Bon Iver do an amazing two part version of For Emma Forever Ago.
Another one of the best videos Le Blogotheque has done uses the same harmony and building acoustics as the previous video. Check out Fleet Foxes!
And here is an older one that really was probably the video that peaked my interest in Le Blogohmygodtherenameislong. This was filmed a little after Vampire Weekend exploded in your face.
