The best music festival in San Diego is approaching. Street Scene will be the weekend of August 28th and 29th in the heart of the East Village in downtown San Diego. If this two-day concert blow-out is anything like 2008 than it cannot come soon enough. Though 2008 stand-out acts like Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip and Spoon will not be playing the festival this year, we can look forward to Deerhunter, Ra Ra Riot, Zee Avi and Band of Horses (who are set to release a new album this year as well). I will admit, the headliners look a little shaky, but these types of musical events are all about the up-and-comings anyways. Without further ado, here is the lineup (so far) :
