
Marc Morrissette returned to Vancouver following his worldly travels with a plentifully packed journal and new experiences on which he could shape themes and styles for his songwriting. With this new material and essentially re-invigorated passion for meaning in his music, Marc formed Octoberman and used his indicative undertakings to produce their acclaimed 2005 debut release, These Trails are Old and New. Marc is supported by Rob Josephson (drums), Graham Christofferson (bass), Leah Abramson (vocals), and C.L. McLaughlin (guitar, vocals) and together they have become a staple live show in the Vancouver indie scene.
Four years later, we have been graced with another earnest LP by the group, Fortresses. When you listen to the songs, you hear a resounding truth and wisdom in the lyrics. Stories that paint pictures of Marc’s travels and experiences that have shaped his musical approach and vision.
