Sara Lov aka not Nouvelle Vague

As Frank posted earlier, this lady opened up for Nouvelle Vague at the show we attended… and seriously for all we knew it was the headliner. Perhaps not our finest moment, (uh I mean, we’re totally experts… How do you think we got to be authors on this blog?) There is nothing better than having your mind blown from little expectation. It was a great performance by both acts, and Nouvelle Vague surprised me - that chick fell down to “Too Drunk to Fuck”. Totally appropriate.
So, who was the opening act? Her name is Sara Lov - our little funny bangs girl that sang before Nouvelle Vague - she took the stage with these two gypsy looking guys, one of which played an itty bitty tiny piano. Since that show I’ve been giving the album, Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming, a few whirls. The voice is really sweet and with lines like “don’t you wish you could throw your panties back at them” well, you just gotta respect that.
Oh, wait… She’s saying Pennies. Nevermind.

Bonus: Train’s Acoustic Arcade Fire put me on this thought process…. (great post Train) and really, this song is the whole reason we’re gathered here today…. don’t miss Sara Lov’s cover of “My Body is a Cage”.. It’s the shit and I won’t stop listening to this track.
