Rules

The Whitest Boy Alive, Erlend Øye’s electro-funk brainchild has now grown into a brainteenager with the release of their second and much anticipated album, Rules. Erlend and friends have been influencing the European and world indie-electronic scene since the early 2000′s when he and fellow Nord, Eirik Bøe, enjoyed their reign as the Kings of Convenience. Erlend soon denounced his thrown and sought to develop a solo record which he did in 2003 with Unrest. Erlend continued exploring his musical capabilities and finally found his true calling with the establishment of The Whitest Boy Alive in late 2003. Now, Erlend was able to lay down the vocals and hold the axe to the backing of a solid group whose musical fusion captured the melliflous sounds of Erlend’s desired electro-dance musicial aspirations. Breath. Whether you need some fluid tunes for a cocktail party or some poolside melodies for a Sunday Funday, this album will be well-received. A very developed follow-up to their 2006 LP, Dreams, we can expect many more musical treats from this talented euro-quartet. Did I mention they play with a Crumar Synthesizer? Dazzling.
