Now we are not talking about Phife Dawg, The Five Foot Assassin, we are talking about Fyfe Dangerfield, the bearded Brit who is about to throw some serious jams into your 2010. You might know the Birmingham born and musically educated composer from his band, Guillemots. gUiLLeMoTs, Fyfe man’s project, is comprised of some of the most uniquely named musicians I have ever come across. Its members, Fyfe Dangerfield, MC Lord Magrão, Aristazabal Hawkes and Greig Stewart got their start back in 04 and have enjoyed some mild success in the UK. After completing their most recent album entitled Red (2008), Fyfe took advantage of some down time and started popping off a few tasty nugs of his own.

The result, Fly Yellow Moon, which is set to release in January of 2010.

Fyfe is on tour showcasing his latest and greatest in the UK and is packing venues like DJ The Todd. We can only hope that the love Fyfe is feeling now will eventually lead him to the shores of America where he can grace us with his musical bag of pop pleasures. In the meantime, we are going to have to keep his pre-released title track “When You Walk in the Room” on replay. If it’s any indication of what’s to come, we will see how long Fyfe stays off the solo-path.
