Music has been evolving into a new era. A new flux of creativity, a mixxxxing of genres and talents, collaboration. A progression toward embracing influence and reference, all leaning heavily on what technology has made available. I don’t really know what I’m talking about as more than anything beyond an appreciator. My eardrums love of a little electronic biddy boop, panning echoes, auto-tuned wails, robot vocoders, a danceable bass, ethereal sounds – all are audibly prized.
And okay, fine I didn’t know which Vampire Weekend guy it was that was in Discovery for the entire 6 months that it was pounding away on the tympanic membrane that loved it, but I do now. And I’m feeling really happy about stumbling upon his tumblr blog tonight: rostam.tumblr.com. Cause I found this:::::

Frank noted in an earlier post that this band (from my new fav label to explore Ghostly), is primed for the MixTape! And it appears he was on the right track, we’ll see! Meanwhile, Muffin fav The Antlers got in on some remix action.

I never put too much thought into which guy from Vampire Weekend was the guy from Discovery. Man, this sheds some serious light on how incredible he is.
