Brooklyn, NY – Re:Up Magazine, a publication known for creatively exposing music, art and photography that shapes the underground and emerging scenes of the indie-culture, has encountered a bit of a road bump. Recent economic downturns have forced the once thriving magazine company to Re:Evaluate the balance sheets and cut costs wherever possible. The Re:Up philosophy, which was once “connecting the dots between today’s most influential movements with the trends of tomorrow”, has now become “un-connecting the dots between all the subscriptions we have sold with our complete inability to fulfill them.”
Re:Up Media, Inc. is a subsidiary of Centerfold, LLC, whose owners (Taylor Gibson and Taylor Drenth) happened to have been sued by a little company called EMI Virgin Music, Inc. amongst others in 2008. Though the details of this potentially pending lawsuit are unavailable at this point in time, I think it is safe to say that someone from Centerfold, LLC really crapped the bed. As for the supporters of Re:Up Magazine and its actually impressive collection of album reviews, interesting photography, band interviews and art manifestos, we are being asked to patiently sit by as the company settles in its new surroundings.
Though future issues of Re:Up will be likely be hand-written on doo doo paper and used paper towels, a staff writer has been quoted in promising that “you can expect the same high-quality blend from a magazine that defines what is timeless.”

Though their new office and print location is not as glamorous as what once was, faithful readers who have paid subscriptions have their fingers crossed that future issues will not solely include interviews with homeless nomads accompanied by polariods of rats and dirt. At this point, I would actually prefer that to the quick answer of a 1987 voicemail machine or 50 unread emails.
This song is as depressing as this magazine.
