Late last night we received a digital Christmas card from none other than the Upsidedown Couches. The same rap group that we last heard from for their 4th of July song (do these guys make songs that don’t involve holidays?). And the only group to send us a Xmas card – thanks guys!
But anyways, if you enjoy rap Christmas songs, you know that it is slim pickens. If only you listened to adult contemporary you would have an endless supply of music for the holidays. But for some reason, the rap world doesn’t get too much into the christmas spirit.
Well UDC (as they call themselves) has released not one, but TWO Christmas songs. The first one, My Wishlist For Christmas could possibly be the dirtiest holiday song ever made. But the beat is infectious and the lyrics, although nothing you can play for grandma, are hilarious.
The second song doesn’t have a single cuss word. The lyrics seem earnest and the beat is slow. I really can’t figure out if this band is a joke when they include songs like this. Good song nonetheless.
