Being compared to McCartney and Lennon is never really fair. Thus, I write today to give some accolades to a Mr. Ringo Starkey (Ringo Starr). In his solo collection there are some real gems I must say. I have posted a couple below and implore you to give a listen. Photograph has a very cerebral sound that juxtaposes the melancholy lyrics perfectly. It Don’t Come Easy has a one of my favorite lines from a song right in it’s chorus. That’s a plus. I also threw in the track by Bob Dylan during the opening credits of Big Lebowski for good measure. Just a classic tune in a classic intro. Okay, now join me below.
Ringo Starr - Photograph
Ringo Starr - It Don’t Come Easy
Bob Dylan - The Man In Me
Deerhunter has a new EP out that I missed so just in case someone did the same here some of their new songs. Building off their last album Microcastle this band is getting better and better. Do me a favor and click on that Deerhunter link and check out the youtube video they posted for Saturday May 30th. Concordia Discors everyone.
Deerhunter - Famous Last Words
Deerhunter - Disappearing Ink
Deerhunter - Agoraphobia (from the Microcastle album)
