Recently, I had my ipod on random and on came across an old favorite, Burning Photographs by Ryan Adams. Right then my brain scanned back to something I heard about Mr. Adams also being a pretty good fiction writer. Subsequently, I decided to head to the bookstore and checked out Infinity Blues. It’s suffice to say his postive reviews were well deserved.
If you’ve never gotten into Ryan Adams give a listen to the songs below and see what you think. Don’t hold it against the man because his name is similar to Bryan Adams and (according to Train) he once did a terrible drunken set in Madison, WI. Ryan Adams produced Willie Nelson’s Songbird album. I doubt Willie would give that job to some hack.

Bonus Track: I’ve found the song that completely sums me up. I think from now on when a girl is giving me a hard time I will just play this song and then I won’t have to talk. Plus, it just sounds good loud.

glad to see ryan adams is getting some love
Here’s the full story of what happened on that fateful night in Madison: In college I did a semester internship w/ Universal Records and one of the jobs was to handout Ryan Adams promo CD’s after one of his shows. He was so super blackout at the show, doing the same song 3 or 4 times in a row, sitting with his back to the audience sometimes, other times sitting off stage – it was a shitshow. Afterwards I was trying to hand out CD’s to people and you wouldn’t believe how unbelievably pissed they all got at me for the show. People were swearing at me and taking the CD’s and then throwing them back at me, I remember one dude ripped a poster down from the wall, balled it up and tried to throw it at me – it was truly absurd. So all in all, damn you Ryan Adams for the night of verbal and physical abuse I suffered at the hands of your bender.
Wow, take it easy Train. There is really an open wound going on here. We may have to staff a meeting between you and Adams to help fill the void your torment has opened.
Ahahahahahahaha
A Train-Adams sitdown is definitely needed…though I’m only going if Mandy Moore promises to show up.
is that not the strangest pairing ever? maybe she is cool?…
ryan tries to hard or doesn’t try at all. mandy moore IS cool.
