Audiomuffin praised musician and downright work-a-holic, Spencer Krug has come through once again like a successful shoulder-tap outside BevMo. In past posts, we have openly discussed our admiration for his projects including, but not limited to; Wolf Parade, Swan Lake and Sunset Rubdown. Not to take anything away from Dan Boeckner who also partakes in Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown, but is most notably known for his lead in Handsome Furs, but Krug is the pirate’s patch. Two months later, it is my pleasure to follow up a teaser post that premised the new Sunset Rubdown album that was heading our way…Dragonslayer (2009). Unfortunately for you, the album is still heading your way. Luckily for me, through my high-powered status as a musical wizard and all around cool guy, JagJaguwar, the band’s label, gave me first go at this album. The record drops 6/23/2009 to the plebians of the general human race and as your trusted musical leige I will bestow the following upon your ears.
