Alright Y’all. This heads up on the Cave Singers came to my InBox, MuffinReady – like an easy bake recipe for listening deliciousness. My man Dan (who you can follow on twitter @dfarrell1717) pulled this together for you!! Enjoy:

The Cave Singers, another band born out of the Seattle talent petri dish (as I’ve heard it termed), released ‘Invitation Songs‘ all the way back in 2007, but it somehow slipped the muffin’s radar until now.

Former ‘Pretty Girls Make Graves’ member Derek Fudesco, along with Marty Lund supply a soothing, hypnotic combination of guitar and drums, while a perhaps appropriately named Pete Quirk lends a raspy set of vocals that sound like they could actually be emanating from some sort of large underground orifice. The end product is something that makes you want to grow a beard, and drink beer by a fire fueled by logs that you chopped up yourself. If this isn’t feasible, I recommend just not shaving today, cracking a beer, and listening to this album.

The band is currently on tour….check their MySpace Page for cities and dates.
