While I sit here drinking a believer per page load (what, you don’t know ’bout that?), I’m figuring out which Camp Lo jams I should post for you while I’m going behind FRANK’s back to order some business speed cable modem shit (which means more drunk posts in the near future — YEY!).
I remember the first time I listened to Camp Lo. I was running a little “fell off the back of the truck” scheme in my high school shoplifting days, and my weed dealer/basketball teammate asked me to grab “Uptown Saturday Night” for him the next time I mini-robbed a store whose name rhymes with “Work It Pity”.
As was customary, I listened to (or ripped) all of the albums I ganked before selling them (for a paltry five bucks) to my clientele. This one sticks out — I’ve been listening to Coolie High to pump me up for more than a decade at this point.
If you don’t know Camp Lo, get funky and check ‘em out. But I recommend paying (or doing your stealing with torrents) because security is pretty lock tight these days at the retail outlets. Stone and Rob Caught on Tape is out, like, nowz. Get it.
If you don’t dig it, my advice is: listen ’til you do.
