Finally! After months of hype and mixtape mania, DC native Wale (more ‘Wah-lay’ than ‘Whale’ – come on!)  has released a single from his upcoming debut album Attention Deficit.  The song ‘Chillin’, is built on top of a catchy-as-hell sample from everyone’s favorite jock jam and features current dance-pop queen Lady Gaga, who takes this opportunity to embrace her inner M.I.A. – believe me, it works.  I also love that Wale announced the album title and release date (‘Summer ‘09) via Twitter, taking the time to simultaneously showcase his sign-making abilities and kick ass sneaker collection (are those Jordan 3 cement’s I see up in there?)

Now, if you can’t wait until summer to get your Wale on, I suggest you seek out his ‘07 mixtape 100 Miles & Running, in addition to the brilliant Seinfeld-inpsired Mixtape About Nothing (available for free download here) released last year.  Included below are a few random Wale jams and, of course, the single that got me so excited in the first place.  Hallelujah hollaback.
