Caribou is in town boys and girls. Cariwho? Caribou. These guys are the real deal holyfield. Their jams are tight – combining electronic elements with penetrating vocals. Yes, I said it, these Canadians are on point.
Unfortunately, this is nothing new to report. This band has done the dance, rode the circuit and seen the scene. But hey, that doesn’t mean they cannot stop by the bakery and tell us about their new tunage. Right?
Daniel Snaith has been the mastermind behind this musical ensemble since inception in the early 2000′s. The band has stayed in tact, minus one drop out, bassist Andy Lloyd, who know slaps with the Born Ruffians. Later Andy.
Bottom line – new album, Swim (released in April) is super swell. The freshershest.
I feel the need to drop this tid-bit today, because these Canadian cowboys (not sure?) are in California TODAY, home of Audio Muffin and home of magical triumverance. They are playing The El Rey tonight! Boom. They are playing my home village of San Diego @ the one and only Casbah tomorrow night (sold the f out). BAM! Did I mention their new songs are real good? Obviously.
