Groundation is no stranger to Audio Muffin “choice venue” Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA (what we often refer to as “The Upsidedown Ship”) and the venue is no stranger to hosting incredible musical talents. Groundation will once again be gracing San Diego’s premier coastal venue with a two-night intimate event on May 13th and 14th. The show is a part of Groundation’s Fuzion 2010 Tour which ”brings two of the West Coast’s most progressive fusion bands together for one memorable tour. Musical worlds collide as Sonoma County-based Groundation and Los Angeles-based Orgone team up for Spring 2010′s most exciting tour. Groundation has catapulted to huge international success with their sticky amalgam of heavy roots reggae, transcendental dub and jazz/funk fusion. With highly meditative concept albums, extensive instrumentation and an improvisation-rich live show, Groundation has one of the most dedicated and fastest growing fan bases of any group touring internationally today.”

For the many years that we have followed Groundation, we have been drawn to their music’s positivity and spirit. Though the band is very progressive with its sound and style, it has always maintained the roots reggae core that made them an internationally recognized act.
