Just a short and sweet post today….I want to take you all back. You may say it’s a sign I’m getting old, but they just don’t make hip hop like they used to. If you are of a certain age like me you were lucky enough to live through the Golden Age of hip hop, the 1990s.

You may like to pretend that you are on the cutting edge of all things new and shiny, but if you’ve ever been a hip hop fan chances are you bring back those classic jams often enough.

So I’m going to tune you guys into a a great 90s hip hop group that rose to some success but just as quickly faded into obscurity. Da King & I released “Contemporary Jeep Music” in 1993, and the track below is a great example of doing hip hop right.
