I’m a big fan of mellow singer-songwriters; usually of the acoustic guitar nature. I also like electronic music. And lately I’ve been really getting into electronic singer-songwriters. It’s a really unique genre that I don’t hear a lot about, but contains a wealth of great music.

My latest find in this category is Teitur from the Faroe Islands, which is a part of Denmark. He just came out with a new album last week (at least it came out here in the US last week), called The Singer. It’s a very mellow simple sound. The guy has an amazing voice and simply sprinkles some notes behind his words to make a captivating mix.

If you are a fan of Dntel, John Vanderslice, or the Chemcial Brothers song , you are going to be into Teitur. I’m going to throw on his new album and fall asleep…sweet dreams readers.
