So it’s my first-ever Audio Muffin blog post! I’ve already received threats to my physical being from fellow authors…so that’s…good. If this is an Audio Muffin welcome, I can’t imagine what being fired is like, so let’s hope my post devirginizing is a non-violent one.

I thought I’d ease myself into the Audio Muffin world with someone I’m super comfortable with and have long fallen in love with and that special lady is Imogen Heap. Ellipse, her latest album dropped on August 24th, so it’s been four long years since her last CD.
Imogen Heap

I’ve been eagerly waiting for a new album from Imogen. She’s consistently quirky, honest, and fun to listen to. Ellipse provides you with heartfelt ambient songs like “Half Life,” funky beats from “Swoon” and songs for all those days you’re having a fat day in “Bad Body Double.” I’ve listened to that song for the past three days while I tell my love-handles and thunder thighs, “Fuck you”.

Imogen still delivers songs that somehow seem different every time you listen to them and keep that same electronic charm her previous albums had. And if you don’t like Ellipse, she was pretty good when she was part of Frou Frou, too (Um, who doesn’t like “Let Go”?)

And if you’re too poor to go out and buy the album, Imogen has the whole album streaming on her official website.

So go on. Comment on this post and tell me how great I am. Please. I don’t want Hot Dog to kill me.

(Also, I hope you caught on to my title post. You know, because the album’s called Ellipse, and I used ellipses in the title. Get it? Yeah?)

I fear for your health and safety when at the unpromising mercy of the rapper formerly known as Hot Dog. There does seem to be a fermented tempest of old beer churning within his stomach, generating his flagrantly violent stupor that targets young Pee Wongs. It was this concern that inclined me to congratulate you on your first post. But upon reading it I was simply stunned by the raw, untethered humor and honesty coursing its way through your words like a wild, unlicensed, New York taxi driver, unimpeded by the constricting traffic regulations that bind others’ lives on the road we call Life. Like him, your spirit clearly drives with a force independent of the state around you. I look forward to the many more blogs that lie ahead at each bend and bank. Until then.
