Yesterday Dr. Dog released their second single of the April 6th destined album Shame, Shame. The song is called Stranger and brings with it the same goodness you’ve come to expect from Dr. Dog.
They previously leaked the song Shadow People. For fans of Dr. Dog you are aware that vocal duties are shared between Toby Leaman and Scott McMicken – and each song, although sharing the same intrinsic style, is defined by which on of them is singing it.
Shadow People featured Leaman singing his quirky unconventional vocals, while this new one, Stranger, brings things back to what you might call traditional or formal Dr. Dog with McMicken taking the lead.
I love them both, and the combination really gives the album amazing replay value. Based on these two tracks I think we might be looking at the best Dr. Dog album yet – what do you think?
Dr. Dog will also be at SXSW, be sure to check them out if you’re going.
March 18 SXSW Showcase @ Lustre Pearl (12midnight)
March 19 Filter Party @ Cedar St Courtyard (4pm)
March 20 Rachel Ray Party @ Stubbs BBQ – outside (1:30pm)

Yesssssssss
Yay! I’ll be at the Cedar Street show on March 19. You should be too Frank.
Love me some Dr. Dog!
soooo stoked for this album.
actually, you mixed them up, and stranger is the Toby song while Shadow People is Scott-penned.
I’m a little disappointed, I feel like he’s trying to sound like more poular indie artists. I’m not getting the same feeling I got off of “Fate”
