The first time I heard “Dancehall Places” I nearly lost my mind. I have since played it for countless people and they all nearly lost their minds. I’d heard Damien Jurado before because Frank and Papa listened to him for a while. I’d heard some Mint Royale in a commercial or something. I was never all that impressed until I heard this collaboration.

You may be the type that dismisses older music (”Dancehall Places” was released back in 2002) You may only want to hear the newest or the most esoteric music. Well, this is not a new song, but it is relatively esoteric and most importantly it is good. Enjoy…
