Holy shit, only four days away from Coachella 2010. B started things off yesterday with a bunch of kick ass vids from Coachella artists. I’m gonna keep things going with a handful of the bands I am looking forward to seeing the most.
LCD Soundsystem

There are a ton of reasons to see LCD Soundsystem this year. First, for me, this will be my first time seeing them. And LCD is definitely one of those bands that the hipsters are well aware of, but many of my ‘on the cusp’ friends have been like, “LCD what?” And then a month later their sentiment changes to, “I haven’t stopped listening for a whole fuckin’ month!”
Second, their new album is sure to be one of the best albums of 2010 and Coachella will be the first time almost everybody in attendance will get to hear some new tracks.

Pretty Lights

I know this girl Heather who lives in Denver and lives her life to see Pretty Lights in concert. They did like four shows in Denver recently and she went to all of them! I admit, I slept on their last few albums, but their latest EP is absolutely bonkers.
If you are looking to sneak away from your friends for a bit and just go fuckin’ nuts you can meet me in one of the tents for some daytime dancing destruction.

Local Natives

The Local Natives seem to have become a big part of the culture here at the Muffin the last year. It seems like every author’s car I step into has their Gorilla Manor playing. When they played Morning Becomes Eclectic my Instant Messenger went nuts with, “Are you hearing this?”
I can’t wait to finally hear those harmonies in person.
