Any title with this many curse words can’t go unnoticed. I can’t deny that half of its appeal is due largely to the use of foul language and the fact that I find myself singing it under my breath and must stop myself to actualize what I’m singing melodically while going about my business. Sorry to trivialize anyone’s daddy problems! but………..

This is Martha Wainwright and this is Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole. But really the best part about this discovery is that this is Loudon Wainwright III’s daughter, this is some lady name Kate McGarringle’s daughter and this is Rufus Wainwright’s sister. This is a lady who grew up in an insanely musically talented and successful family and this is a song about her Father and his incompetency as such. Apparently this whole family not only has surpassed typical familial dysfunction, but they have captured it in their own comfortable medium. Each one of them has at least one song that is critically acclaimed to be about the other as if they related to one another only through their recordings and I find that fascinating and even if contrived or exploited, worth exploring. So……….. here is my recent discovery - Martha Wainwright’s song written about her father, titled: Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole.
