Sydney C’s real name is Jerry Todd Hannant and yes, that does sound like a Nascar driver’s name and yes, it’s awesome. Sydney C derives from the character in A Tale of Two Cities. His parents have Elvis coasters at home, not kidding. When it came time to write his 5th grade book report his brother had him write it about Jim Morrison. I’m pretty sure the teacher was worried. Nonetheless, he credits his family for his decent taste in music. However, his greatest musical failure was once in 6th grade he traded his Blues Traveler CD for a Boys II Men one. He still remembers this. He credits The Strokes “Last Night” as his turning point for the music now featured on the Muffin.
