Its nice having good friends. Here at Audio Muffin we are very blessed to have many good friends all over the place. Without these “friends” some of us would still be in jail, married or face down in a ditch somewhere. We rely on our friends and in return we try and provide a musical sanctuary for them on the inter-web. Jump hi-five, ready? Go.
Speaking of good friends, our buddies over at LP33.tv offered us a enticing opportunity to put together a conjunctive piece conveying a mutual liking for The Big Pink and we took it. Oh yes. Yes we did.
Let’s kick start this grade “A” high level reading/viewing material with an exclusive interview of The Big Pink before their first LA show EVER (at the El Rey) courtesy of LP33.tv!
The Big Pink, comprised of Robbie Furze and Milo Cordell, are electro-rocking on my door at the moment. You know that the Muffin is no stranger to excellent electro-rock, punk, pop, funk and soul music and we have been following this duo devoutly like most others of the genre since their first musical releases back in 2008. Recipients of decent hype and a song that blew up this past fall (“Dominos”), The Big Pink are quickly on their way to becoming a “house hold name” (LP33.tv).

The Big Pink’s debut album, A Brief History of Love was released 9/14/2009 and offers promise for what’s to come from this UK duo. As many of today’s hot bands struggle with the pressures associated with following up a stellar freshman album with a sophomore album that holds its luster, we can expect The Big Pink will be logging some serious hours before their next output. In the meantime, we look forward to catching up with them in some of our favorite venues across the country. Now, as a friend, enjoy the tunes as provided below.
Just click the song titles…c’mon!
