The second installment of A-Trak’s “Dirty South Dance” mixtape series is available today (or, yesterday). If you’ve heard volume 1 (or even if you haven’t), or if you’ve heard any of the leaks from the new one (or even if you haven’t), yer gunna wanna snatch this mixtape up.
This isn’t like the time you and your friend made a mixtape in your closet with a Radio Shack mic and a blank cassette.
This is “Big Boy” shit.
As I alluded to above, the Drake vs Guetta mash-up has been circulating for a couple of months. More recently, the Roscoe Dash vs Claude Von Stroke track has surfaced. Both are straight-up humidity. Just like that, the kid went 2-for-2 out of the gate. But here’s a little secret for you: those two gems aren’t even the best tracks on the project. Do not get me started on the @CRAZEARONI remix of Donnis’ “Gone.” As of today, that joint is #1 on all of my playlists (give it one listen and I predict our mp3 players will have this in common).
You have to love people who do things correctly and send even their mixtapes off to be professionally mastered. A-Trak, my hat is off to you, my friend. You never disappoint. In addition to never disappointing, everything you do seems to continue to advance the art (even when “the art” is simply referring to making mash-ups).
That’s all for today kids.
Quick and dirty…and dope.

He has his mixtapes mastered?!? That is awesome!
Yeah, I’ve never heard of someone mastering his mixtapes before, that is pretty dope
