Go ahead and pull up your iTunes, Beatport, Juno and Amazon MP3 store before I even get into this (you’re gonna need them…hard).

So…Afrojack (A.K.A. “DJ Afrojack” A.K.A. “Nick Van De Wall”)…

…ummmm…

…HOLY BALLS!

Specifics are as follows: He’s a Dutch DJ/Producer/Remixer that kicked in the door of the professional scene back in 2007. His sound has a “House,” “Tech-House” and “Electro” vibe. And, chances are likely that something he recently concocted just murdered what used to be your favorite peak-time party joints.

I didn’t even know who Afrojack was until last year when I got my hands on his remix of the Robin S. classic “Show Me Love.” Dude put his foot in that thing. For real. If you do not yet own it, see below (you’re welcome).

After I found the “Show Me Love” remix, I needed more. I ended up throwing every Afrojack song legally available on the internet into my virtual cart and proceeded to drop the American Express hammer.

Months later – just as I finished digesting the mound of Afrojack remixes that I had purchased and began to long for something fresh – I was lucky enough to find a shiny new ‘Fro masterpiece over on the Fool’s Gold site. It turns out the good folks over at Fool’s Gold commissioned a slew of producers to rework KiD CuDi’s “Make Her Say (Poke Her Face)” joint, and lucky for us, Afrojack was invited.

AJ’s remix was the first of the “Make Her Say” reworks to be released by Fool’s Gold, and it appears everyone else is going to be left battling for second place.

You probably think I’m kidding.

Nope.

He “Usain Bolt-ed” the bitch.

‘Fro’s “Make Her Say” rework is straight bonkers. I was DJing a couple of weeks back and, at around 1:15 am, I decided to peel everyone’s perm by dropping this bouncy, pulsating banger into the mix. The crowd went stupid. I mean, I was DJing in my apartment, and I only had one friend over, but nonetheless…ridiculousness ensued.

Killing the 2009 remix game with a KiD CuDi re-re would have been enough, but Afrojack did not rest on his laurels freshness. He also did refixes for Steve Angello (Swedish House Mafia), FM Audio, Spencer & Hill and yet still found time to somehow improve upon the undisputed #1 party bomb of 2009—Sidney Samson’s “Riverside.”

Seriously people, Afrojack is THAT DUDE.  The proof is in the drum programming.  His signature frenetic choruses take every party to that next, next, NEXT level.

Not convinced?

In a recent interview on BeatPort, fellow Dutchman Laidback Luke (Swedish House Mafia) put Afrojack on a short list of dudes next in line to take shit over (I told you this was serious, people).

If you’re even remotely into Dance, House, Techno, Electro or fun I suggest you iPod a few Afrojack productions. If nothing else, your friends will be ecstatic that you moved on from Lady GaGa (yep…it’s time).

So that’s it; get to downloading (legally). If you can’t spare the $12 in downloads this week, get your log on to Afrojack’s MySpace for free streaming fixes while you wait on the 15th to roll back around.

Pad the walls and play them ((( LOUD ))).

I suggest a neck brace.

He’s an amazing producer. I didn’t know of him until I heard a track called “Daft Sound” on the DJ Icey mix show Automatic Static. He’s definitely talented and can’t wait for more tracks from him in the future.
