In an effort to combat both boredom and the recent NYC heatwave, I recently took to the electronic highway and starting combing through the Muffin archives. A few stops into my digital roadtrip I found myself jamming along to Booty’s Pop Goes Acoustic post, and I realized that I too have been sitting on a treasure trove of acoustic gems that have yet to find their way onto the Muffin.  Actually, I’m making all of that up, I just wanted an excuse to post the Ninjas With Guitars pic.  Just kidding. Not really.  Whatever my reasons may be, the jams remain the same, so kick back, relax, and take in the sweet, soothing sounds of the AcousticMuffin bakery…

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Skeletons (acoustic)

Arcade Fire - Wake Up (acoustic)

Grizzly Bear - While You Wait For The Others (acoustic)

Bloc Party - Signs (acoustic)

Phoenix - 1901 (acoustic)

B-B-B-Bonus jam! Can you have acoustic rap songs? Jigga man sure seems to think so, and I can’t say I fault him. My favorite cut from Hova’s Unplugged album:

Jay-Z - Heart of the City (unplugged)
