Life
First blog, some basic info. Blog is authored by Frank, D Rock, Papa Lenke, and Tyler P. We are all a group of screenwriters living in sunny Santa Monica, California. Well Tyler isn’t really a screenwriter, and Papa is a screenwriter who refuses to do any actual writing, but needless to say we are deep into the writing of a Romantic Comedy which we should begin shopping around early October.
Music
Let’s start this blog running. It was a friend at work who first dropped a cd on my desk by The Cinematic Orchestra. We share music at work quite often and when you force a co-worker to feel obligated to listen to a cd, it better be heat, and nine times out of ten, it is.
This was no exception, a band I would highly recommend, at least their latest cd, Ma Fleur. I tried some of their older cds (experimental modern jazz) and wasn’t too thrilled. But couldn’t get enough of their latest. And it was the opening track, sung by the indie singer/songwriter Patrick Watson that really struck a chord.
Not to mention Patrick must have been getting some style tips from our very own D Rock. Check out the comparison (D Rock is on the bottom):

So for this first entry have a listen to two great songs featuring this up and comer.
