In this dark age of terrible pop music Midlake is a shining beacon of Classic Rock sentimentality and style. The song “Roscoe” is my favorite track on their album and when I first heard it I didn’t believe D-Rock that this was a contemporary band. I would liken their style to a cross between the Dire Straits and Neil Young. Thankfully the lead singer of Midlake has a much less whiny voice. I hope everyone particularly enjoys the lyric “Whenever I was a child I wonder what if my name had changed Into something more productive Like Roscoe”
